This Astra GTC 1.6 Turbo performance exhaust is made in 2.5/63.5mm pipework and fit from the catalytic converter section backwards (cat-back) these exhausts replace the centre and rear sections. This resonated sports exhaust includes the centre silencer and has a subtle but sporty tone. This exhaust however, is also available as a non-resonated version (excluding centre silencer) which is a louder option. All relevant fittings and gaskets are supplied. The resonated cat-back upgrade provides a softer refinement that raises the game a little, without compromising on day-to-day usability. With the many fitment options available in this model it is certainly possible to tailor the exhaust upgrade to suit your own specific requirements. The Cobra Sport resonated cat back exhaust benefits from a very useful 29% weight saving when compared with the OE cat back system weighing in at only 12.94kg. The overall exhaust sound design certainly sets the car apart from the non-tuned versions, with the Cobra Sport resonated cat back system coming in at a sportier 4 dB sound increase and the non resonated variant at 6 dB increase, when compared to the standard cat back system. The full de-cat turbo back system increased the sound level at 4,000rpm to 85db, a 10db increase over the standard exhaust system.
